About Me
Hey there! I’m Fred, a certified personal trainer and nutrition coach based in Portland, Oregon.
My journey into health and wellness began after my own health wake-up call in my early thirties. After years of working a demanding tech job that had me living on takeout and energy drinks, my doctor gave me some concerning news about my blood pressure and weight. That moment changed everything.
I started small—just walking during lunch breaks and cutting back on processed foods. But what began as a personal health project evolved into a passion that completely redirected my life. I left my tech career, got certified as a personal trainer through NASM, and haven’t looked back.
For the past seven years, I’ve been helping clients transform their lives through sustainable fitness and nutrition practices. My approach isn’t about quick fixes or extreme measures—it’s about finding balance and building habits that last.
When I’m not training clients or writing for this blog, you’ll find me hiking the Pacific Northwest trails with my rescue dog Bruno, experimenting with new healthy recipes in my kitchen, or volunteering at local community gardens.
